Easy Air Fryer Corn Dogs – Classic Fair Food Made Healthier

Ingredients:

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp melted shortening
2 tbsp vegetable oil
6–8 hot dogs
6 skewers or sticks

Directions:

1. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, mustard, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
2. Add milk, egg, oil, and shortening. Stir until smooth.
3. Pour mixture into a tall glass. Skewer hot dogs and dip into batter to coat.
4. Preheat air fryer to 395°F.
5. Place battered dogs in the basket and cook for 11–17 minutes until golden. Repeat as needed.
